Pairs
Every card is face down. Turn two: a pair stays up, and pairs in a row are worth more. Clear the board in fewer moves and less time for a bonus. Taking turns, it is a duel on one board — find a pair and you go again.
Pairs is the classic memory game. Every card starts face down; turn two at a time, and remember where each face was, because a match stays up and a miss turns back over.
How to play Pairs
- Turn any card, then a second.
- If they match, the pair stays face up. If not, both turn back — remember them.
- Clear the board. Easy is a 4 × 3 board, normal 5 × 4 and hard 6 × 6.
- Taking turns on one device, it is a duel: find a pair and you go again, and the most pairs wins.
Scoring
- A pair is 100 points, and pairs found in a row are worth more.
- Clearing the board adds a bonus for the moves and the time you saved.
No clock
- Choose No clock to play the same board with no time bonus — only your moves earn the bonus at the end. A no-clock game keeps its own best.
Tips
- Turn a new card first, then decide on the second from what you remember.
- Work across the board in order early on, so the places are easier to recall.
Play it with friends
- On your own, against the characters — each plays the game by its own rules the moment it starts, so there is always somebody to beat.
- With friends, each on their own phone or laptop: one of you shows a code, the others type it in, and everybody gets exactly the same game on the same Go.
- Taking turns on one device — pass it round, and each turn is scored against the turns before.
