Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026
The short version. The numbers you type into a calculator never leave your device unless you sign in and press Save. FinClamp itself stores nothing about you if you do not sign in. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set cookies, and you can opt out of both — the links are in sections 4 and 5.
1. Who this policy is from
FinClamp ("we", "the site") is an independent financial calculator suite operated from India and available at finclamp.com. Questions about this policy, and any request under it, go to contact@finclamp.com.
2. What the calculators do with your figures
Every calculation runs in your browser, in JavaScript, on your own device. Loan amounts, salaries, portfolio values, tax inputs — none of it is transmitted to a server as part of calculating a result. There is no request to send, which is why the whole suite continues to work with no network connection at all.
Two consequences worth knowing:
- Values you put in the URL — the ones that make a shared link restore someone else's figures — travel to whoever you send the link to. Check a link before you share it.
- Your inputs may be kept in your browser's local storage so a page restores when you come back. That storage is on your device, is readable only by this site, and is cleared when you clear site data.
3. What we store when you sign in
Signing in is optional and exists for one purpose: saving calculations across devices. If you do sign in, with Google, we store:
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, display name, profile picture URL | To identify your account and show who is signed in | Until you delete the account |
| Calculations you explicitly save | To show them again on your other devices | Until you delete them, or the account |
| Preferences — theme, currency, view mode | So the app looks the same everywhere you use it | Until you delete the account |
| A signed session cookie | To keep you signed in between visits | Until it expires or you sign out |
We do not receive or store your Google password. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. What that means in practice:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site and may use cookies of their own to do so. We do not control those cookies and cannot see what they contain.
- Ad personalisation can be switched off at Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices, or for European users at youronlinechoices.eu.
- Opting out stops ads being personalised. It does not stop ads appearing.
Advertisements appear only on pages that carry written content — the homepage, calculator pages beneath their guide, and articles. They are not shown on the saved-calculations library, the comparison workspace, the downloads page, the games section, or these policy pages. The ad script is not loaded at all on those screens.
We do not permit advertising that targets children, and the site is not directed at children under 13.
5. Analytics
Google Analytics 4 records which pages are visited, roughly where in the world visitors are, and which devices they use. It is used to understand which calculators and guides are worth improving. IP addresses are handled by Google in accordance with its own terms; we do not have access to individual visitors' identities through it.
You can prevent Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking the script in your browser. The calculators work normally either way.
6. Cookies used on this site
| Set by | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|
| FinClamp | Signed session, so you stay signed in | Strictly necessary — only if you sign in |
| Google Analytics | Aggregate traffic measurement | Analytics |
| Google AdSense / DoubleClick | Ad selection, frequency capping, fraud prevention | Advertising |
Your browser's settings can block or delete any of these. Blocking the session cookie will sign you out; nothing else on the site depends on cookies to function.
7. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to export it, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in the EU or UK, these are your rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection). If you are in California, they are your rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete — and note that we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Write from the email address your account uses and say what you want. Requests are completed within 30 days. If you never signed in, we hold nothing to give you.
8. Data security and location
Account data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure and transmitted over HTTPS. Session cookies are
signed and marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. No system is perfectly secure,
which is one of several reasons the site is built so that the sensitive figures — your actual money —
do not need to be sent anywhere in the first place.
9. Third-party links
Guides link to external sources. Following such a link takes you to a site with its own privacy policy, over which we have no control and for which we accept no responsibility.
10. Children
FinClamp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and it will be deleted.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and the change is described here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
