Daily puzzles
Five puzzles arrive every morning: a five-letter Word Guess, a Sudoku, a Mini Crossword, a Nonogram and five hands of Make 24. Each is the same for everybody that day, so a group of friends can each play on their own phone and compare — or race to finish first.
Every sudoku and nonogram here is checked to have exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone, and every hand of Make 24 is checked to be makeable before it is dealt. When the daily ones are done, start a new one at the level you like.
Under them is Logic Ladder: thirty classic riddles — river crossings, the bridge by torchlight, the water jugs, the Tower of Hanoi, leapfrog, lights out, sliding tiles, the knights’ swap, the traffic jam, the penguin on ice, colour sort and the warehouse — one a rung, each opening when the one below is solved.
Daily puzzles
- Word Guess — Guess the five-letter word. Green is the right letter in the right place, gold is in the word somewhere else, grey is not in it. A new word every day — the same one for everybody.
- Sudoku — Fill the grid so every row, every column and every 3×3 box holds 1 to 9 once. Only the right number goes in — a wrong one counts as a mistake. Today’s is the same for everybody; a new one comes at your level.
- Mini Crossword — Eight or so words crossing on a small grid, all on one theme. Type the answers in, move with the arrow keys, and race your friends to fill it first.
- Nonogram — Each number is a run of filled squares in that row or column, in order. Fill the squares the clues force, cross the ones they rule out, and a little picture appears. Every one can be solved by logic alone — no guessing.
- Make 24 — Five hands of four numbers. Combine two with +, −, × or ÷ and they become one; use all four to make exactly 24. Every hand can be made — the hard ones only with a division. Today’s five are the same for everybody; a new set comes at your level.
Logic puzzles
- Logic Ladder — Get the wolf, the goat and the cabbage across the river; four friends over a bridge by torchlight; exactly four litres from two jugs; frogs past lizards; every light out; the tiles home; two knights past two others; an ambulance out of a jammed car park; a penguin across the ice to its fish; marbles sorted by colour; crates pushed home. Every rung is a different classic puzzle and opens when the one below is solved — on par for three stars.
