Three good things
Three good things, big or very small: a cup of tea, a message from a friend, a lesson passed. Stay with each one long enough to feel it again.
What the session says
- Find a comfortable way to sit, with your back tall and your shoulders soft. Rest your hands wherever they feel easy.
- Let your eyes close, or rest your gaze on a spot on the floor a little ahead of you.
- Breathe in
- And out
- Bring to mind one good thing from today, however small. Picture it clearly.
- Notice how it feels to remember it. Stay with that feeling.
- Now a second good thing. Where were you? Who was there?
- And a third. It might be something you did, or something someone did for you.
- Hold all three together for a moment.
- Let your breathing go back to its own rhythm. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and when you are ready, open your eyes.
- Well done for taking this time.
