Marbles
Pull back and let go to flick your marble into the gold one. Hit it first and it is yours; touch another first, or nothing, and it costs a life. Three grounds, each with one more marble.
Marbles is the playground game, seen from above. Marbles lie scattered on a patch of earth and one glows gold; aim, choose how hard, and flick yours into it.
How to play Marbles
- Pull back to aim and choose your power, then let go to flick.
- If your marble touches the gold one first, it is yours: you shoot again from wherever yours stopped, and the next one glows.
- Touch another marble first, or nothing at all, and it costs a life — and the ground is put back so you can try the shot again.
- Clear a ground for a bonus; the next one is laid with one more marble. Three grounds, or three lives, whichever goes first.
Scoring
- A hit on the gold marble scores, and a clean one that disturbs nothing else is worth a point more.
- Clearing a ground adds a bonus.
Tips
- Use the walls to bank a shot when there is no clear line.
- A softer shot leaves your marble closer to the next target.
Play it with friends
- On your own, against the characters — each plays the game by its own rules the moment it starts, so there is always somebody to beat.
- With friends, each on their own phone or laptop: one of you shows a code, the others type it in, and everybody gets exactly the same game on the same Go.
- Taking turns on one device — pass it round, and each turn is scored against the turns before.
