Keyboard shortcuts
A handful of keyboard shortcuts saves hours a week, but only once they are in your fingers rather than on a list. The trainer teaches them in four groups — copy, paste and undo; moving through text; writing and formatting; tabs and windows — showing the keys lit on the keyboard and the fingers that press them.
Then a quiz names actions at random for a minute, and you press the keys. The page catches each combination and stops the browser acting on it, so pressing the save shortcut here does not open a save box. The few a browser keeps for itself, such as closing a tab, are shown to learn and never asked for.
Good to know
- Shortcuts are shown with Ctrl on Windows, Linux and Chrome OS, and with ⌘ on a Mac — and the few that differ more than that are shown as they are.
- You will need a real keyboard.
