Code typing

Programmers type brackets, quotes, operators and indentation all day, and a typing course made of prose never touches them. Code typing gives you short, real, readable snippets in JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS and SQL — each one does one small thing and says what.

The snippet is laid out as code, a few lines at a time, and the indent after each line break is typed for you, as an editor would. The symbols you miss go into your weak-key report, and each snippet keeps your best speed.

Tips

• Learn the symbol keys’ fingers on the finger chart first — brackets and braces belong to the right little finger.
• Shift is always pressed with the other hand from the key, for symbols as for capitals.
