Kaleidoscope
Draw one line and watch it mirrored into a pattern of six, eight or twelve.
Kaleidoscope turns every line you draw round the centre of the screen — six, eight or twelve times — and mirrors it too, so a single scribble becomes a snowflake, a flower or a mandala. The colour moves on as the line gets longer, so slow, long strokes paint rainbows.
How to play Kaleidoscope
- Draw anywhere with a finger or the mouse; a tap leaves a dot in every mirror.
- Choose six, eight or twelve mirrors, and turn reflection on or off.
- Clear starts again with a dark sky; Save picture keeps what you made as an image.
- With a keyboard: the arrow keys draw, Shift and an arrow moves without drawing, M changes the mirrors, R switches reflection and C clears.
Tips
- Lines drawn near the centre make tight, busy patterns; lines near the edge make big, open ones.
- Turn reflection off for patterns that spin rather than mirror.
