Install FinClamp
Every calculator, working offline, opening instantly, with your figures staying on your own device.
FinClamp installs as an app on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Mac. On iOS, open the site in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android and desktop Chrome, an install prompt appears in the address bar. There is no app store step and no account required.
Installed, the whole suite works with no connection at all. The calculators run in the browser engine on your device, so a flight, a basement or a bad signal changes nothing. Updates arrive silently the next time you open it online.
What it does not do: send your figures anywhere. Loan amounts, salaries and portfolio values are computed locally and stay local unless you deliberately sign in and save a calculation. That is true of the website too; installing simply removes the browser chrome and the wait.
Installing is worth it mainly if you use the same two or three calculators repeatedly — a loan you are paying down, a SIP you are tracking, a budget you revisit. The install is a real one: an icon on the home screen or in the dock, its own window with no address bar, and a cold start measured in a few hundred milliseconds rather than a network round trip. Nothing about the calculations changes, because they were always running on your device.
How to install, by platform
- iPhone and iPad — open finclamp.com in Safari, tap the share button, then Add to Home Screen. Safari is required; other browsers on iOS cannot install a web app.
- Android — open the site in Chrome and accept the install prompt, or use Add to Home screen from the browser menu.
- Windows — in Chrome or Edge, click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
- Mac — in Chrome or Edge, use the install icon in the address bar. Safari on macOS supports Add to Dock from the share menu.
- To remove it, uninstall like any other app; nothing is left behind on your device beyond ordinary browser storage.
