Questions people ask

Why do subscriptions add up so quietly?

Because each renewal is small, automatic, and invisible — no decision is made, so nothing prompts a review. Eight services at ₹299 a month is ₹28,700 a year, which nobody would agree to as a single annual payment.

How do I decide what to cancel?

Look at the last sixty days of actual use, not intent. Anything you have not opened in that window is a candidate. The reliable test is whether you would resubscribe today at full price, knowing what you now know.

Are annual plans worth it?

Only for services you have already used consistently for several months. An annual plan on a service you are still evaluating converts a small recurring mistake into a large one-off mistake.

What is the real cost of a subscription over time?

₹500 a month for ten years is ₹60,000 spent — or about ₹1.15 lakh if the same amount had been invested at 12%. That is not an argument against subscriptions; it is an argument for knowing which ones you would defend at that price.
